Club
History
Westside Football Club was
established in May 1996 and is a Christian Club based at West Side Church
Wandsworth, South West London.
While we are a Christian based club, we welcome players who are
not Christians. Our aim is to enjoy playing football in the right spirit, with
as much class as possible and to pass on the incredible news of God’s Free Gift
of eternal Life to all those who want it!
The club’s management is made up
mainly of committed Christians who endeavour to run the club on this
basis.
We ask our players to be sympathetic to this aim and we have a strict
Code of Conduct to which all players are asked to commit themselves to before
signing for the club.
We try to maintain a highly professional standard in
everything we do.
We believe that this attitude enabled us to win the
Sportsmanship award twice in four years, which is one of our main aim’s for
every season.
We have a vision to expand to be a multi-team club and to play
in the highest standard possible.
