Welcome - About the Club

Club History

Westside Football Club was established in May 1996 and is a Christian Club based at West Side Church Wandsworth.
While we are a Christian based club, we welcome players who are not Christians. Our aim is to enjoy playing football in the right spirit, with as much class as possible and to pass on the incredible news of God’s Free Gift of eternal Life to all those who want it!
The club’s management is made up mainly of committed Christians who endeavour to run the club on this basis.
We ask our players to be sympathetic to this aim and we have a strict Code of Conduct to which all players are asked to commit themselves to before signing for the club.
We try to maintain a highly professional standard in everything we do. We believe that this attitude enabled us to win the Sportsmanship award twice in four years, which is one of our main aim’s for every season.
We have a vision to expand to be a multi-team club and to play in the highest standard possible.

Match Programme

While we are a Christian club, we welcome players who are not Christian. Our aim is to enjoy playing football in the right spirit but also to pass on the incredible news of God's gift of Eternal Life to those who are willing to hear and believe it.

As part of our outreach, to the non-Christians in the Club, to other teams and supporters we produce a match programme for every home game. It's completely free and we give them out to our opponents and supporters on arrival.

As well as carrying a Christian message it's a good talking point to make sure that the game gets off to the right start.

The programme lists team line ups, match reports, background information, upcoming events and a Christian Player Profile in every issue.
